Rohilkhand University Campus Illuminated for ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ Programme

Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, organised the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, with the university campus illuminated through a collective lamp-lighting ceremony conveying the message of ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Seva Ka Sankalp’.

The programme was organised in accordance with directions issued by the Higher Education Section of the Uttar Pradesh government. The campaign includes a series of activities aimed at highlighting public welfare initiatives and achievements associated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years of public life and public service, while connecting citizens with the collective national vision of a developed India by 2047.

The lamp-lighting programme began at 6:30 pm on Thursday with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anil Kumar Rai lighting a lamp. Teachers, officials, employees and students subsequently joined the initiative and lit lamps at various locations across the campus, creating a striking display of lights.

Addressing participants, Prof. Rai said ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ was not merely a target but a collective national responsibility and commitment. He said positive efforts rooted in service, dedication, discipline and social responsibility contribute to nation-building. The lamp-lighting ceremony, he added, served as a reminder of the role citizens can play in building a developed India through knowledge, service and public welfare.

Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh said various programmes were being organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to create awareness about the Prime Minister’s 25 years of public life and service as well as government welfare initiatives and achievements. He said the university community expressed its collective commitment to service, nation-building and the vision of a developed India through the programme.

Deans, heads of departments, directors, faculty members, officials, employees and a large number of students participated in the event. Those present included Registrar Mahendra Kumar Singh, Controller of Examinations Anil Kumar Yadav, Finance Officer Vinod Kumar, Deputy Registrar, Cultural Coordinator Dr. Jyoti Pandey, Nasha Mukti Abhiyan Nodal Officer Prof. Yograj Singh Daksh, Dean Academics Prof. S.K. Pandey, Chief Proctor Prof. Ravindra Singh and Chief Warden Prof. A.K. Singh.

The programme was organised under the aegis of the University Cultural Centre, with the collective lamp-lighting across the campus conveying messages of service, commitment, nation-building and Viksit Bharat @2047.
